Our guest house is ideally situated halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town on the N1.  We offer 6 rooms all furnished in typical Karoo / Victorian style with many antiques and original works of art.  We have restaurant and fully licensed bar which are open from 17:00 Monday to Saturday.

Thus Hanover is the ideal halfway point for travel weary travellers to spend the night and refresh themselves for the next part of their journey. The village of Hanover is renowned for it’s historic buildings as well as the magnificent Dutch Reformed Church which dominates the architectural landscape. The generosity and hospitality of the locals makes this little village very special indeed. In the hot summer months our shaded garden and a cool drink is an inviting prospect for hot and tired travellers. In the cold of winter our little pub and dining room are heated with open fires and this is where you will meet our locals and fellow travellers.
